Joseph Cheaney was established in 1886 by two brothers, Joseph and Arthur Cheaney. Today Cheaney is regarded as one of the premier producers of Goodyear welted shoes in the world today.

Cheaney was sold in 1964 to Church’s English Shoes - the world famous brand based in Northampton. Recently Cheaney was bought back by Johnathan & William Church which returns the Company back to indepdedent ownership after 45 years.
